The Health Ethics Trust offers a series webinars featuring national experts on current compliance topics.These webinars are free to Trust members and $99 to non-members.

The PHE suspended or modified many compliance rules. The PHE has been extended several times – but it seems likely to end soon. As the PHE winds down, some compliance rules will be reinstated while others will be updated. For example, CMS has signaled that it will continue/update some of the telehealth rules associated with the PHE. Compliance professionals should prepare for these developments now.

Compliance Program Assessors Course | 2022

Compliance program assessment is an essential part of compliance programs as documented in the standards issued by the US Department of Justice and the DHHS Office of Inspector General. The Health Ethics Trust has been assessing hundreds of compliance programs for 26 years and has offered the Compliance Program Assessors Course throughout this period. This is a one day course being offered virtually.

Attendees not only gain practical experience in assessing the elements of a compliance program; they also learn how to bench mark and score programs. Benchmarking is the key to the credibility of program assessments with executive management and boards of directors. All attendees receive detailed guideline for assessing all elements of a compliance program.

Those who successfully complete the Assessors Course are also qualified to participate in the Trust’s Compliance Program Certification process as peer reviewers. This is the only compliance program certification process in healthcare and it is entirely peer driven. Peer peer reviewers report that this is a valuable experience and assists them in strengthening their own compliance programs.
