The Health Ethics Trust’s August Intensive Course (virtual) is one of the Trust’s series of Certification Intensive Courses  They are called Certification Intensive Courses because they meet all continuing educational requirements for the Trust’s Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) and Certified Compliance Executive (CCE) credentials and offer 24.3 live CEUs for HCCA’s credentials.

 

This course focuses on current regulatory and enforcement trends and the latest compliance program tools. These include issues related to the Cares Act and other pandemic related acts, compliance issues related to Medicare Advantage, compliance investigations, conducting compliance program assessments, hot topics in long-term care, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute Final Rules, compliance risk assessment, current trends in research compliance and many other topics.

The Best Compliance Practices Forum has been the compliance event of the year since 1995 when the Forum was founded by the Health Ethics Trust and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 218 Best Practices have been recognized since 1995.

 

The following criteria for Best Practices supplement information available at the Best Practices web site Best Compliance Practices:

1.    When was the practice implemented? Has there been enough time to test it?

2.    Is there evidence that the practice works?

3.    Is it different from the practices at like organizations?

4.    Can Best Practice Forum attendees learn from the practice?

In addition to 8 to 12 Best Practices, the Forum also features national compliance leaders including regulators, enforcement officials and recognized national experts..

 

The submission deadline of August 15 is fast approaching and many Best Practice submissions have already been received. The sooner you submit your practice, the quicker it can be reviewed. All winners must attend the Forum to present their practice.
